Living downtown today, it's hard to imagine that in November 2003 there were no websites dedicated to downtown families nor frequent playdates at downtown parks.  Such was the case, so this website was born with a desire to share information relevant to downtown families and help plan meetups.  Over the years, many parents and civic organizations have contributed and do contribute in many ways to the community.  SD-FUN continues to spread the news of these contributions, opportunities to contribute, and opportunities to simply have fun.  The mission of SD-FUN is to make downtown San Diego an even better place for families to live and play.
